Colorado Public Radio News (KCFR) has introduced CO Arts Spotlight, a new segment dedicated to featuring arts events across Colorado. CPR News arts and culture reporter Eden Lane hosts the segment, airing three times on Thursdays as well as being distributed digitally.

Lane, who joined CPR News in 2022, has a rich history of covering arts and community affairs in Denver for various media outlets. Her notable work includes a 2022 story about a world-class violinist who became homeless, which earned her a Regional Edward R. Murrow Award for excellence in sound.

CO Arts Spotlight covers a wide range of artistic disciplines, from theater and dance to music, visual arts, film, and literature, providing listeners with insights into the vibrant arts scene across the state. Each Thursday, Lane and her editor curate a selection of events and notable news items in the arts.

The segment will also air on Colorado Springs’ KRCC.

Lane commented, “CO Arts Spotlight spans all disciplines — theater, dance, music, visual art, film, writing and so much more — and in every part of our state! This segment is an extra spotlight on what listeners should know and what’s occurring in Colorado’s arts community.”
