Audacy Miami is adding three local shows to the weekday lineup of Radio Libre 790 (WAXY-AM) as well as appointing Miguel ‘Mijo’ Irizarry as Brand Manager. New programs include the morning show Despierta Miami with Eli Escobar, En este Pais with journalist Lourdes Ubieta, and El Show de Jorge Bonilla. Bonilla’s background includes roles as a writer, activist, media analyst, and former Republican congressional candidate.
Mijo also serves as the Brand Manager and afternoon drive host for Audacy Miami’s Power 96 (WPOW). A third-generation broadcaster originally from Providence, RI, Mijo has been involved in radio since he was 18, with stops in Philadelphia and Portland.
