Westwood One is extending its partnership with audio branding and sung jingle company TM Studios. This continued collaboration comes after Westwood One’s initial acquisition of TM Studios in 2009 and its subsequent sale to former TM executives in November 2020.
Under the renewed agreement, Westwood One will maintain its role as TM’s exclusive domestic barter representation agent. TM Studios will continue to provide station jingles, commercial jingles, and production music to Westwood One’s syndication partners, including various Cumulus radio stations. Additionally, TM Studios will acquire further assets, including the Drake Chenault catalog and intellectual property related to TM’s former product lines HitDisc and GoldDisc.
Westwood One President Suzanne Grimes said, “Westwood One is committed to partnering with companies that provide unique products and outstanding service, and TM fits that description perfectly. By extending our relationship with TM, we are assured that radio stations around the country will be able to access the best-in-class offerings TM has been creating for more than fifty years.”
TM Studios CEO Greg Clancy expressed, “Westwood One has been like family to TM for over a decade. We are delighted to continue the growth of our business of creating world-class sonic branding for radio and tv stations, podcasters, advertisers and producers around the globe, while being represented for barter by the best in the business.”
