Veteran broadcaster and politician JD Hayworth is set to return to the Phoenix airwaves to continue his 50+ year broadcasting career. Hayworth reunites with CRC Broadcasting Company’s financial news/talk KFNN-AM to anchor weekday afternoons on All Right Now!
Hayworth returns to a full-time radio position for the first time since representing Arizona’s 6th District as a United States Congressman. Since leaving D.C., he has spent time as a stand-in anchor for shows like MSNBC’s Scarborough Country and CNN’s Crossfire, and has sat in as a guest host for Mark Levin and Laura Ingraham.
In the early 1990s, Hayworth hosted The Business of Sports on KFNN.
CRC Founder and CEO Ron Cohen said, “JD coming home to KFNN is a watershed moment for our station and all Arizona radio listeners… With so much interest in the 2024 election and Arizona’s growing notoriety as a key battleground state, the timing could not be better to bring JD back to host a daily show. No Valley radio host possesses JD’s credentials in both broadcasting and politics.”
Hayworth added, “KFNN has given me this chance to return to the air on a regular basis, and I’m grateful… No one will confuse me with ‘Toto’ from the Wizard of Oz, but I’ll ‘routinely pull back the curtain’ on what’s really happening with politics and public policy.”
