Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s podcasting agreement with Spotify has come to an end after producing just one series. A joint statement from Spotify and the couple’s company, Archewell Audio, revealed that the agreement for future series had been terminated. Reports suggest that the couple did not meet the productivity benchmarks required for the full payout of the deal.
The partnership, announced in 2020, was estimated to be worth around $20 million or more. Meghan’s podcast, Archetypes, explored and challenged labels that hold women back and featured notable figures like Mariah Carey and Serena Williams. This podcasting venture was part of the couple’s pursuit of new careers after stepping down from their royal duties.
