iHeartMedia Miami’s Tú 94.9 (WZTU) has secured a new multi-year deal to become the Dolphins’ Spanish-language flagship station. iHeart plans to expand to Hispanic iHeartLatino affiliate radio stations in Florida, across the U.S., and in international markets.
Tú 94.9’s Dolphins content will be available on the station’s website, the iHeartRadio app, and Dolphins.com. This change follows the shift of English-language play-by-play coverage to iHeartMedia earlier this year. Roly Martin and Eduardo Martell will continue to call Dolphins games as part of the Spanish-language broadcast team, and additional Spanish-language Dolphins programming and talent will be announced soon.
iHeart Miami/Fort Lauderdale Market President Shari Gonzalez said, “It’s an honor and an opportunity to amplify comprehensive coverage to South Florida’s loyal fans and beyond our borders. We are excited to work together with the team to provide top-quality game day coverage in English and now Spanish too.”
iHeartLatino President Enrique Santos added, “We, at TÚ 949, are thrilled and honored to welcome the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins are not just a team, but an organization that truly embodies the diversity and culture of South Florida. Fins up!”
