PBS Kids has announced a new fiction podcast series called Keyshawn Solves It, featuring a 10-year-old boy from north Minneapolis who solves mysteries. The series follows Keyshawn, who inherits a set of keys that can unlock almost any door. Each episode will revolve around Keyshawn solving mysteries while learning important values associated with keys.

The first episode focuses on the disappearance of bikes in Keyshawn’s neighborhood, and he must solve the mystery before the community’s Juneteenth bike race is canceled. The podcast is created by Ed Jenkins, a children’s entertainer and media creator based in Excelsior, who participated in PBS’ Ready To Learn Podcast Accelerator in 2021. Jenkins is also the Children’s Ministry Director at Excelsior Covenant Church.
