The Wisconsin Broadcasters Association is recognizing the contributions of three radio broadcasters in their Local Broadcast Legends class of 2023. The WBA established the award in 2015 to honor individuals that work behind the scenes and within their communities to exemplify localism.
This year’s honorees from radio are Doug Erdman (WTCH), Gene Mueller (WHBL-AM, WWSP, WSPT, WQFM, WKTI, WTMJ-AM), and John Murphy (WAXX, WAYY, WISM). Besides their notable careers, each of the three has done extensive charity work in their communities. All honorees will be recognized during the keynote luncheon at the 2023 WBA Summer Conference.
