WESA Pittsburgh Revamps Weekend Schedule

Pittsburgh’s public radio station WESA (90.5) has released a new weekend line-up that offers a wider selection of programs for listeners who tune in on Saturdays and Sundays.

New programs offered on the station will include The People’s Pharmacy, Freakonomics Radio, Notes from America with Kai Wright and Climate One, all airing on Sunday. Radiolab, This American Life and The Pulse will air Saturday, while Hidden Brain moves to Sunday.

BBC Newshour will no longer air on weekends, but will still air during the week.

“Based on listener feedback, we are offering a wider selection of different programs on our weekend schedule,” Mike Sauter, the vice president of broadcasting at WESA’s parent company Pittsburgh Community Broadcasting Corporation, said in a statement.”
