Norfolk State University’s WNSB (91.1 FM) has launched a new morning show.

The Fresh Start Morning Show features DJ Bee and Cheryl Wilkerson, who have a collective five decades of broadcast experience, along with graduate students Braxton Harris and Sam Burwell.

“The live and local morning show will be upbeat and interactive with morning mixes, daily contesting, entertainment news, and more,” a spokesperson for the station said on Tuesday.

“We are incredibly fortunate to work with such a dynamic personality. DJ Bee gives our station true credibility in the culture and is a tremendous wealth of knowledge for the students,” Maynard Scales, the general manager of WNSB, said in a statement.

“I am honored to continue my radio broadcast career at a HBCU. This next chapter with WNSB and Norfolk State University will be extremely special,” DJ Bee said. “NSU, like many other HBCUs, is at the center of Black culture, and I am excited to be a part of that experience.”

The Fresh Start Morning Show will air weekdays from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. local time.
