Cox Media Group’s KKBQ (92.9 FM, 93Q) in Houston has picked Andy “Riggs” Riggle as the co-host of its morning show.

Riggs brings over two decades of radio and media experience, working at stations across the country, including Audacy’s WXSS (103.7 FM) in Milwaukee.

“I am beyond pumped to have Riggs join the 93Q Morning Show,” Travis Moon, the director of operations for Cox Media Group’s Houston station cluster, said on Monday. “In a time when
listeners crave genuine connection, Riggs will bring joy and authenticity to our amazing listeners in Houston…not only is he creative and community-driven, his positivity and enthusiasm are infectious. This is going to be fun!”

“I’m astronomically excited to jump headfirst into the world of country music and wake up in the city of Houston, along with Katelyn Maida and Erica Rico,” Riggs said. “I was ready to focus full time on my Mental Health nonprofit, HeartHead…but this opportunity was just too good and too big! I’m ready for this amazing new adventure.”

Riggs succeeds Tim Tuttle, who left KKBQ after 17 years with the station.
