Jeana Gondek has been hired to serve as the morning news co-host on iHeartMedia’s KOA (850 AM, 94.1 FM) in Denver.

“We are thrilled to have Jenna joining Colorado’s Morning News and KOA,” Dave Tepper, the program director for the station, said on Monday. “Her personality, experience and passion for news will be a refreshing addition. Jenana, Marty Lenz and the KOA news team will keep Denver and all of Colorado informed and entertained throughout the morning.”

Gondek joins the station from WOKV, a news-talk format station owned by Cox Media Group serving the Jacksonville market. She started her radio career at WOOD (1300 AM), the iHeartMedia news-talk station in Grand Rapids.

“I am beyond excited to return to iHeartMedia, the company that truly helped me first begin my broadcasting career with West Michigan’s Morning News at WOOD Radio,” Gondek said. “KOA is a legendary station I have always dreamed of being a part of in a city that I am thrilled to finally call home. With big shoes to fill, I’m honored to work alongside Marty and bring a new voice and new perspective to Colorado’s Morning News.”

Gondek’s new role starts immediately.
