Among the flippers Tuesday were Cumulus’ WWIZ-FM in Youngstown, OH, iHeart’s WMAG-FM in Greensboro, NC, Bonneville’s KOSI-FM in Denver, and Horizon Broadcasting’s KWPK-FM in Bend Oregon. SiriusXM also launched 22 holiday-themed channels.
I never understand the need to throw away most of your regular audience to try to attract the Christmas music lovers for 2 months. I don’t know any of my friends who stay with their regular radio station for the 2 months they do this.
Why not play elevator music year round? Michael Douglas and Glenn Close could use “Chestnuts roasting” in the background…..
