Dana Potter, Binghamton New York radio host has died. Magic 101.7 WLTB, in a website post, said Potter died from cancer. He was 67.

“It is with the heaviest of heart that we post this tonight. We have lost one of the finest people we have ever had the privilege to be part of the G.M. Broadcasting family. Dana Potter fought hard in his battle with cancer but as it often does, it took our friend tonight, and the world is a more empty place for it. Dana loved radio almost as much as he loved his children and grandchildren, and continued to be part of it as long as he could”

Potter grew up in Broome County in south-central New York state. His first air shift was overnights at WNBF when he was 20. He also logged time with other Binghamton market stations WENE and WRMV. He spent 20 years as midday host for WLTB.
