The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC is partnering with XTRA Sports 1300/KCSF-AM to broadcast every Switchbacks game in 2021. The team is a member of the USL Championship, the second tier of the American soccer pyramid.
Ryan Kaufman, PD and host of Drive Time Sports, will handle the-play-by play for Switchbacks games on XTRA Sports 1300. He has been handling TV play-by-play for home games since 2018.
“We’ve always enjoyed our Switchbacks partnership, but taking it to the play-by-play level is something very special. This is truly that something extra for XTRA Sports 1300,” said Scott Jones, VP/MM, Cumulus Colorado Springs. “I’m very excited for Ryan. He’ll do a great job calling the games. We’re thrilled with this opportunity!”
