ESPN Chicago 1000 AM morning show host, David Kaplan, will walk 29 miles on September 29 for charity. Walk as One is to raise awareness for Bernie’s Book Bank.
Bernie’s Book Bank sources, processes and distributes free, quality children’s books to under-served children ages birth to sixth grade throughout the Chicagoland area.
“Now more than ever we all have to come together, and I am so excited to undertake this challenge while benefitting an amazing charity, ”said Kaplan. “Although walking 29 miles may seem like a long way, I know it will help so many and makes it a challenge well worth undertaking.”
Other ESPN Chicago talent will join the walk and listeners are being invited to join in throughout the day. A special T-Shirt has been created for the event with all the proceeds going toward Bernie’s Book Bank.
