The former head of FEMA Craig Fugate has always been a big supporter of local media. Fugate has posted a blog on Medium where he worries that the financial impact of COVID-19 could seriously hinder radio and TV’s ability to cover emergencies in their local markets. He encouraged lawmakers to take care of them in the next stimulus package.
