97.1 The Fan (WBNS-FM) Columbus, OH, has launched a new morning show and a revamped line-up. Joining Brandon Beam on Morning Juice will be former Buckeye linebackers Bobby Carpenter and Anthony Schlegel.
In addition to the new morning show, middays will see Rothman & Ice with veteran sports reporter Anthony Rothman teaming up producer turned host, Matty “Ice” Hayes. The rest of the day will be covered by Common Man & T-Bone, with Mike Ricordati and Jonathan “T-Bone” Smith; and The Buckeye Show with Tim Hall and Buckeye sports guests.
“There has never been a more important time for 97.1 The Fan to take the next step in our evolution as a sports radio station,” said Todd Markiewicz, VP/GM. “We are excited to go live and local, giving our listeners the opportunity to hear the latest on all Ohio-based sports first thing each and every morning, Monday thru Friday.”
In addition to the new line-up, the station is moving to new state of the art broadcast studios. The station will share space with 10 WBNS TV; bringing the Tegna Inc. owned stations under the same roof.
