The Ad Council has announced the winners of the annual Project Yellow Light scholarship competition. Two scholarships, sponsored by iHeartMedia, were awarded for radio PSAs.
The radio, high school scholarship went to Miriam Zuo of Sugar Land, TX for You Can Wait. The radio, college scholarship went to Matthew Merrill of Frisco, TX for Telegraphing Catastrophe. The PSAs will air across all iHeartMedia stations in the coming months.
“Distracted driving continues to be a public safety concern that claims the life of innocent drivers every year. The Project Yellow Light program is an opportunity for iHeart to connect with the communities in which we live and work to spotlight this critical issue, said Jessica King, VP Communications, iHeartMedia.
The winners in six categories, were selected from 2,163 submissions. Entries were received from students representing all fifty states and Washington, D.C.
