Houston rock radio veteran, Dayna Steele, has shaved her head to raise much needed cash for the Houston Food Bank. Like many food banks across the nation the virus pandemic has created a higher demand for assistance and it is struggling to serve everybody.
Following stay at home guide lines, Steele picked her husband as her stylist for the event, shown on ABC 13 Eyewitness News. Steele telling the station, “I may not have hair, but more importantly, the Houston Food Bank needs food.”
Steele spent many years on the Houston airwaves through the 80s and 90’s. The resume for “The First Lady of Rock n’ Roll”, includes time at KLOL, KSSR, KRBE and KRLY. She is a member of the Texas Radio Hall of Fame. She is also an author of several books, a media strategist and TV personality.
