Going All-In To Raise Bikes For Kids

Natalie Cash from KWEN/Tulsa’s Cash & Bradley Show launched the 5th Annual Bikes for Kids fundraiser, Monday morning. Cash scaled a 30-foot scaffolding next to the Owasso High School football field and will live there until she collects 955 bikes for several Green Country organizations.

During the last four years, the station has collected 4,775 bikes, valued at nearly $240,000. This year the organizations receiving bikes are Bike Club, Family and Children Services, Toys For Tots, The Salvation Army, Owasso Community Center, Center Tulsa Educare, and Palmer House.

Cash will be joined by several guests.

“Bikes for Kids is one of our favorite times of the year,” said Matt Bradley, KWEN Director of Branding and Programming. “It is always incredible to see how our listeners rise to the challenge of collecting bikes for kids who would not have access to a bike any other way.  We are always blown away by the generosity of our community and know this year will be the same again.”

Listeners can donate by dropping off bikes at Owasso High School or donating online at k95tulsa.com.
