Podcast network Curiouscast has debuted a podcast dedicated to all things comics, superheroes, fantasy, and sci-fi. Called Issue Zero, it will be hosted by radio personality and comic book creator “Fearless” Fred Kenned. Two episodes of Issue Zero are currently available, including a deep dive on the Mandalorians and their history.
“There is simply no denying the power of superhero and sci-fi fan culture,” said Chris “Dunner” Duncombe, Director of Streaming and Podcasting for Corus Entertainment. “Issue Zero takes you inside the characters, movies, and stories we all love, from Star Wars, to The Avengers, to Lord of the Rings, and back. We at Curiouscast are so excited for people to hear this new show.”
Kenned is the afternoon drive host for Toronto’s Rock Station, Q107. His love for the subculture saw him featured as the long-time host of Teletoon’s Teletoon at Night content block and he’s covered San Diego Comic-Con and Fan Expo Toronto many times. On Issue Zero, “Fearless” Fred will take listeners on a fandom journey via deep dives, anecdotes, and interviews with creators and stars.
Issue Zero is available now, with new episodes released every two weeks.
