Jones hosts a show on Kentucky Sports Radio and has been hinting he plans to run for Mitch McConnell’s seat. McConnell has filed a complaint about Jones with the FEC, alleging “serious violations” of regulations, including accepting corporate contributions toward his campaign and failing to report related expenditures. For his part Jones says he’s not even a candidate yet and the complaint is nonsense.
On the Kentucky Sports Radio website Jones wrote that iHeart has asked that he not be on the show in the upcoming days. “I understand iHeartRadio’s decision and don’t blame them. Since I will be making a decision on whether to run very soon, fighting this battle with the Senate Majority leader doesn’t make sense. I get it and still value my relationship with them. If I choose in the coming days not to run, I hope to extend my deal with iHeartRadio and continue KSR into the future.
I guess Trump and McConnell have held their breath until Kentucky turned Blue!
