AccuWeather is launching AccuWeather+, which adds digital components to its service that are customizable for radio affiliates. Additionally, United Stations and AccuWeather are jointly launching Weather from the Cloud.
AccuWeather+ new services now available to AccuWeather’s radio subscribers are:
– Geo-specific microcasts for smart speakers or other digital uses
– Geo-targeted short-form podcasts with video branded to station
– Social media postings
– Weather widgets for a radio station’s digital real estate.
Weather from the Cloud is a new weather forecast option for radio stations with contemporary formats. Weather from the Cloud forecasts will incorporate more lifestyle content into the reports, which will provide music radio stations with programming options that had not been available previously.
