It’s hard to reach anyone at Entercom this week if your communication of choice is e-mail. Entercom is dealing with a company-wide network attack that has done severe damage and it’s unclear how long it will take to fix it. We were forwarded this message which we were told was from an internal Entercom memo.
We received the following statement from Entercom from a personal Yahoo account.
“We are experiencing a disruption of some IT systems, including email. We apologize for any inconvenience and are working around the clock to resolve this issue.”
So, if you want to reach anyone at Entercom, do it the old fashioned way, pick up the phone.
Not permitted to discuss with anyone outside of the Entercom organization? First of all – unanswered emails or bounce backs will quickly make that unfeasible. Secondly, why would Entercom care?? We all have equal vulnerability and they just got hit hard. Hope they solve it quickly. How dependent we become on our technology!
agreed, not the way to handle the situation. there is no way to keep something like this a secret. backfired the minute this memo went out.
