NBC and iHeartMedia have partnered to co-produce NBC’s Songland Podcast, the official after-show podcast for NBC’s new songwriting competition show, Songland. Through the partnership, special podcast vignettes will also be airing across iHeart stations.
Each of Songland’s 15 podcast episodes will provide commentary from the show’s songwriters, mentors and/or celebrity judges, as well as a behind-the-scenes look at the show itself. The winning song will be played at the end of each podcast episode.
The first four episodes will feature teasers from the mentors discussing what they look for in a good song, how they work with different writers, and what they are most excited about for the upcoming show. Once the TV show premieres on May 28, the podcast’s regular episodes will go live each Tuesday night right after the show airs. The podcast will also be promoted on NBC during each Songland TV episode.
