The Make-A-Wish Foundation just got a big boost from 99.5 ZPL’s (WZPL-FM) 22nd annual Request-A-Thon, December 6-7 in Indianapolis. The event raised enough money to grant the wishes of more than 90 children and exceeded all previous years’ total funds raised. The radiothon was broadcast live continuously from December 6 beginning at 6:00 a.m. through 6:00 p.m. on December 7. The 36-hour event was hosted by personalities from 99.5 ZPL’s Smiley Morning Show, as well as volunteers from various organizations who accepted donations via the station’s phone bank.
“I’m excited to share that 99.5 ZPL’s annual Request-A-Thon was another huge success, helping to provide the Make-A-Wish Foundation with funds to continue their mission of making the wishes of children diagnosed with critical illnesses come true,” said Ben Hoffman, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Entercom Indianapolis. “Make-A-Wish’s efforts do not go unnoticed and I am very proud of our station’s role in bringing the community together on their behalf this holiday season.”
