Political Veteran Assumes Major Role At Sheridan

Sheridan Broadcasting Corporation has named Leroy Jones, Jr., President of Sheridan Radio and Digital Division. With a successful 25-year career in Washington, D.C., Jones has worked as a legislative aide in the United States Senate and the United States House of Representatives, giving him the unique experience of working on both sides of Capitol Hill. Shortly after leaving the Hill, Jones accepted a political appointment to work at the White House for President Bill Clinton.

Ron Davenport, Jr., COO of Sheridan, said, “We are excited that Leroy has taken on this expanded role with Sheridan Broadcasting Corporation. Leroy is committed to serving as the guiding force behind our new digital video and audio platform, which will include independently and originally created content for Sheridan. Additionally, he will be helping us explore joint ventures and partnerships, and maximize relations with our sponsor brands and listening and viewing audiences.   1. This is a great story about Sheridan Broadcasting. It’s amazing though that they started a new business but still haven’t paid the 11 or so employees almost 2 years later after closing their newsroom. No pay checks no severance & refusing to pay. The Davenports claim they have no money but look at this!
