Alpha’s 102.3 WXLC/Waukegan-Kenosha, IL., raised $380 and collected 425 toys for Toys for Tots these holidays. In addition, the station worked with the Salvation Army in order to get children sponsored for the holiday. Listeners of the station sponsored all 102 kids.
102.3 WXLC Program Director Haynes Johns said, “This was an exciting event to make a positive difference in the communities we serve, and the lives of each child and their family. It succeeded because it was a total team effort, and was supported and embraced by our amazing audience.”
