Power Of Urban Forum This Thursday

Anyone looking to better understand the importance of the $1 trillion African-American consumer market, and the best way to connect with African-American consumers, might want to attend the 16th Annual Power of Urban Radio Forum in Washington, D.C. being held Thursday. The event will feature a forum of CEOs and National Marketers including Ford Motor Company, AARP, Tracfone, State Farm Insurance, and Toyota USA among others at the Marriott Georgetown Hotel.

Mark LaNeve, Vice President of Marketing, Sales and Service at Ford Motor Company will deliver the Luncheon Keynote Address. Erica Farber, President and CEO of the Radio Advertising Bureau, will moderate a Global Media Agency panel that includes Jennifer Hungerbuhler, Executive Vice President of Broadcast Buying and Local Activation at Carat USA; Frank Friedman, Executive Vice President of Broadcast Buying and Local Activation at Zenith Media; Tom Talbert, Executive Vice President and Chief Media Officer at Campbell Ewald; and Caleb Windover, Senior Vice President of Multicultural Media Buying for Mediavest Spark USA. They will discuss the future of media planning and placement for the world’s leading advertisers and their impact on Urban radio and the industry at large.

Co-Chairmen of the event are Jim Watkins, General Manager of WHUR-FM in Washington, D.C., Steve Swenson, Senior Vice President and Market Manager for CBS Radio in Washington, D.C., and Jeff Wilson, Senior Regional Vice President of Radio One in Washington, D.C.
