93.9 The River in Northampton, MA is bringing the magic of the Green River Festival to the airwaves July 10,11,12. The annual festival became a COVID cancellation this year, but the Saga Communications station is keeping the three decades tradition alive.
The Green River Festival On The Air: A Dream River Fantasy Festival is a three-day radio and digital showcase featuring live sets from past performances. The WRSI-FM event will also include exclusive backstage performances, artist interviews and fan memories.
Festival director Jim Olsen told the Greenfield Recorder, that the majority of ticket holders for this year are holding onto the tickets for 2021. “We want to show our appreciation and bring together our festival community by offering an incredible weekend of performances. We’re envisioning mini-listening parties in backyards and parks and hope to bring the spirit of the festival into homes everywhere.”
