Palmer has two decades of radio industry experience in the Vegas market, along with magazine and custom publishing experience. Cumulus Employee In Arkansas Dies In Crash
Gary DiGiuseppe was on his way to work Wednesday morning when a woman traveling the wrong direction on Interstate 430 hit him head-on. Video taken by a passerby indicates both vehicles erupted in flames upon impact. Both DiGiuseppe and the woman were pronounced dead at the scene. DiGiuseppe was the morning newscaster for First News with Kevin Miller on KARN, Little Rock, and also provided daily newscasts for the Arkansas Radio Network. Mueller To Manage Amarillo
That announcement comes from Alpha Media in the Texas market where Robert Mueller will take over as Market Manager. Mueller is a 25-year vet who worked in Amarillo before moving to Oklahoma City in 2000. Most recently, Mueller served as an Alpha Media Corporate Product Manager. Alpha owns KGNC-FM, KXGL-FM, and KGNC-AM in Amarillo.
Jenson New GSM for Adams Radio Las Cruces
Mike Jenson is making the move from Las Vegas to Las Cruces where he'll be the GSM for Adams Radio's cluster. The stations include, KGRT FM (Country), KSNM FM (Classic Hits), KHQT FM (Hot 103), and KWML AM (Fox Sports).
Nessa Launches Nationwide
Benztown will syndicate Nessa (pictured), who hosts afternoon drive on Hot-97/WQHT-FM in New York City. She's also a host on MTV and MTV2. The new radio show is a five-hour Monday through Friday show produced for CHR, Rhythmic CHR and Urban stations and designed to air in any day part.
Hubbard Nabs Numme For Seattle Rocker
Dave Numme will program KVRQ for Hubbard in Seattle. The station flipped its Modern Music format to Rock back in March and launched with 12,000 songs in a row.
Bowen to Receive President’s Award
On Tuesday, the Country Radio Broadcasters announced Carole Bowen will receive the 2016 President’s Award. Bowen has been a CRB Board member for 15 years. During that time, she was a member of the board’s Executive Committee, holding an officer position as longtime secretary for the organization.
