KNBR afternoon driver Tom Tolbert has signed a new multi-year contract with the station. Tolbert has been with KNBR in San Francisco for 20 years, having started back in 1996.
McIntyre Returns To WRQX In D.C.
Cumulus names longtime Washington, D.C.-area on-air personality Kristie McIntyre nighttime host on WRQX MIX 107.3 in D.C. This marks a return to WRQX for McIntyre. She was on the air at WRQX from 2005 to 2010. She replaces Ashley Nickels, who moved to middays.
KPCC’s Steve Julian Dies At 57
KPCC, Southern California Public Radio, announced on its website that the 15-year host of KPCC's Morning Edition died from complications from brain cancer. KPCC's AirTalk host and Julian's best friend Larry Mantle said, "He was a singular talent. He is completely irreplaceable."
Reach Launches New Syndicated Morning Show
Award-winning gospel artist and reality TV star Erica Campbell will host a new morning show to be syndicated by Reach Media in collaboration with Radio One. The new four-hour show will be called Get Up! Mornings with Erica Campbell and roll out nationally May 10.

Fleming Retiring After 59 Years In Radio
KWAX host Jack Fleming is calling it a day after nearly six decades in radio, the last 31 years with his current station. KVAL Channel 13 in Eugene, OR, is reporting that Fleming, 81, had worked in Connecticut and Los Angeles before moving to Eugene.
