Last week, the Bobby Bones Show featured former U.S. Marine Sgt. Kirstie Ennis on the Country morning radio show to share how she lost her leg serving as a helicopter door gunner in the military. This inspired Bones and his on-air crew to honor her service using proceeds from the sale of “America Strong” T-shirts on www.BobbyBones.com, with the funds going to purchase Ennis an all-terrain tracked wheel chair. In less than a week, listeners had purchased enough T-shirts to raise $20,000, far surpassing the funds needed for the chair.
Ennis joined the program again on Monday, July 18, to hear the great news and celebrate with the show. Click here to listen to the audio.
