The duo has been signed on as the new morning show at the Alpha Media, West Palm Beach station, replacing Chelsea Taylor who will stay on and contribute to the show.
“The Logan Zone” Is Back At 99.9 The Fan
Raleigh, NC’s 99.9 The Fan is bringing back former East Carolina head football coach Steve Logan, who recently returned from a year in the NFL as Quarterbacks Coach for the San Francisco 49’ers. He’ll assume the role of NFL and College Football Insider for the 2016-17 season. Logan worked in a similar capacity with Capitol Broadcasting from 2013-2015.
Harry O Calls It A Day At Northern Iowa’s KLSS
Mason City, Iowa’s Globe Gazette reports that KLSS morning man Harry O (aka Harry O’Neal) is moving on to other things after 32 years in the saddle. During that time he has had thousands of listeners from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., Monday through Friday, taken part in numerous bizarre activities for North Iowa charities.
Syndicated Host Jerry Doyle Dead At 60
The cause of death is not known at this time. Doyle starred in Babylon 5 and appeared in other TV shows before getting into radio as a conservative host.
Alpha Appoints Benkiel Its Moberly Market Manager
Moberly-Macon, Missouri, that is. Benkiel replaces Les Tuttle who was overseeing three Missouri markets. Tuttle will still run Alpha's Farmington-Fetus market. In Moberly, Alpha owns KRES-FM, KWIX-FM, KWIX-AM, KTCM-FM, and KIRK-FM. Most recently, Benkiel was GSM for Cumulus in Macon.
Rohr Promoted By Cox In Ohio
CMG has named Rob Rohr as Ohio Market Vice President, replacing Julia Wallace who announced her retirement earlier this year.
Tomczak Out At KTLK. No Reason Given.
iHeartMedia owns conservative talker 1130-AM in the Twin Cities. Jack Tomczak was hosting the morning show with Andrew Lee but Tomczak is out and nobody is saying why. Lee posted on the radio station website that he's not going to go into the reasons why Tomczak is gone.
Potts Named VP Sales For iHeart Milwaukee
iHeartMedia Milwaukee announced Thursday that Tom Potts has been named VP of Sales. He'll now be responsible for generating revenue for FM106.1 WMIL; V100.7 WKKV; 95.7 BIG FM WRIT; News/Talk 1130 WISN-AM; 97-3 NOW WRNW; and Big 920 Sports WOKY-AM.
Holderle Joins Entravision In McAllen
Entravision Communications is bringing in Michael Holderle as VP of Integrated Marketing Solutions for its McAllen, Texas, market. Holderle will be responsible for selling Entravision’s marketing solutions across the company’s television, radio, digital, and event properties in McAllen.
