Phoenix Alternative Music station ALT AZ 93-3 has announced that midday personality MO! is the new morning show host, 5:30-10 a.m., beginning Monday, April 3. The Mesa, Arizona, started in radio as an intern in 2011 before moving to ALT AZ’s sister station 98KUPD in 2013.

Country Rebel is reporting some very sad news for the radio world. After a courageous seven-month battle with cancer, Country Radio Hall of Fame inductee Linda Lee has died just days before receiving her first Academy of Country Music award. Lee had planned to travel to Las Vegas to accept the award for Major Market Personality.

Philanthropist and owner of Pennsylvania's WBEB-FM/101.1 More FM, Jerry Lee, is to receive the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters Gold Medal Award. It’s the Association’s highest award and it will be presented to Lee on May 7.

The morning personalities for Lonestar 92.5, Dallas/Fort Worth’s Classic Rock station, have shown their compassion for a Cowboy in need – even if only with their tongues in their cheeks. The guys have offered Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo a job with their show, seeing as how his current position under Jerry Jones is more than a little shaky.

Kaloustian will be General Sales Manager of SportsRadio 94WIP, Talk Radio 1210 WPHT, Phillies Radio, and the Eagles Radio Network, it was announced by VP, Director of Sales Dave Scopinich, CBS RADIO Philadelphia. The appointment is effective as of Wednesday, April 5.

This announcement out of the Entercom corporate office. "The Larry and Kathie J show will no longer be airing on KS 107.5 FM in Denver as of Monday, April 3rd. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, we could not come to an agreement on terms. Larry and Kathie have been an important part of the station for many years. We wish them both well." A nationwide search is underway to replace them.

Lon Helton, who will be receiving his fourth ACM “National On-Air Personality” award at the 52nd Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas this weekend, will also be celebrating his silver anniversary with Country Countdown USA. The show launched over the weekend of April 4-5, 1992.

The Innovation in Music Awards has announced Cumulus' Mike McVay as the recipient of the Heritage Award in Innovation. The award serves to recognize McVay as a music-industry professional who has committed his entire career to identifying groundbreaking initiatives and discovering new talent.

Seton Hall’s famous student-run radio station – WSOU 89.5 FM – will welcome sportscaster Matt Loughlin ’79, traffic reporter Pete Tauriello ’76, and engineer Richard Koziol into its legendary HOF on Saturday, April 8, 2017. In addition, George Roskos ’09 will be presented with the station’s Distinguished Young Alumnus Award. 

At its Hall of Fame and Scholarship Luncheon on February 24, the Georgia Association of Broadcasters encouraged the future and paid tribute to the past. This year’s HOF inductees included former President and CEO of  Lincoln Financial Media Group Don Benson.
