According to The Detroit News, WDFN-AM morning man Matt Shepard was fired from his morning show Monday. He hosted mornings since 2001. The paper is reporting there were other cuts made by iHeart on Monday, including multiple layoffs in Grand Rapids.

That's according to Premiere which syndicates Ryan Seacrest. On Monday Kelly Ripa announced Seacrest was her new, permanent co-host on Live. Premiere says Seacrest will continue to host "On Air with Ryan Seacrest" and "American Top 40" from New York. ABC7 will house a brand-new iHeartRadio studio for him.

Lori Burgess has been hired by Beasley for the position of Integrated Marketing Strategy Consultant. Burgess has over 20 years in the publishing industry working for a variety of major publications.

And that's a record amount, according The L.A. Times. The sports talker's Orange County home is 12,300 square feet and includes an elevator, a wine cellar, a game room, gym and saltwater swimming pool. The home has six bedrooms and 8.5 bathrooms. The Rome sale beats the previous record sale for a single-family home in Irvine which was $10 million back in 2009.

Chadd Thomas has added the role of Program Director at b98.7 (Mainstream Adult Contemporary) to his co-host role on the Chadd & Kristi morning show, which airs weekdays. Thomas began his radio career in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, with a stop in Gainesville before settling into Tampa Bay, where he has hosted mornings with his wife Kristi for the past 17 years.

Robert Feder is reporting that Cumulus cut at least six jobs at its Chicago cluster this past Friday. He reports that the employees let go included traffic reporters Jen DeSalvo, Christina Filiaggi, JoAnn Genette and Marti Jones. Scott Dirks, just a few weeks short of 20 years at WLS, was also fired according to Feder.

That's what New York Magazine in reporting. The magazine says MSNBC is in talks with the conservative talker to host a weekend evening show. The magazine reports that the two sides were first discussing a weekend morning show for Hewitt but he wants to be on in the evenings. Hewitt, a Donald Trump supporter, is already a paid commentator for NBC.

With 20 years of sales experience in radio, Entercom found their man in Michael De Amicis. He will handle sales for WBT, WLNK, and WFNZ.  De Amicis previously served as the General Sales Manager for Radio One in Atlanta, where he oversaw the local sales force and spearheaded the national sales effort.

Veteran morning host Bo Thompson has landed a multi-year contract extension with Entercom Charlotte’s News 1110-AM, 99.3-FM WBT. Thompson is host of Charlotte’s Morning News, weekdays from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. Thompson began his career at WBT in 1990. He is a Charlotte native.
