The New York station has added House Smarts with Lou Manfredini to its Saturday morning lineup. The weekly talk show is dedicated to helping listeners with home improvement tasks and updating homeowners on the latest products and methods that can help add value to their home.

AIRE Radio Networks announced Monday it will extend its partnership with renowned syndicated radio personality, medical expert, and multi award-winning influencer, Dr. Cesar Lozano. Dr. Lozano will continue to host his daily syndicated program, which engages over 2 million listeners per week through an eclectic blend of motivational messaging and music.

Mark Crowley is the first Chief Operating Officer at Marketplace. Previously, Crowley served as the VP/GM of Southern California Public Radio, a subsidiary of American Public Media. Marketplace produces and distributes programs by American Public Media.

Electronics Research has hired James Ruedlinger for the newly created position of Senior Vice President of Engineering. He will have responsibility for managing both of ERI’s RF and Structural Engineering Groups. Ruedlinger spent the past two years working for Crown Castle as an Engineering Manager. He spent almost 15 years previously with ERI, from 2000 through 2014.

ESPN's Scott van Pelt was playing golf when a member of The University of Maryland's student-run radio station reached out to him on Twitter. The station needed another $1200 to stay funded and keep operating. Van Pelt graduated from the school.

In February, Jon Grayson resigned from the Overnight America show on KMOX in St. Louis. On Thursday, the station hired Ryan Wrecker to take over that shift. Wrecker moves to St. Louis from Fort Wayne, where he most recently served as PD for WOWO-AM. He's also been a regular writer for Radio Ink Magazine with a focus on digital.

Fred Jacobs shares the sad news that Tim Davis, who worked for jacapps, passed away at the age of 49 after a brief illness. His wife Kathy has set up a fund for their kids' college fund. Minnesota Public Radio will rename its Saint Paul headquarters and broadcast facilities the Kling Public Media Center, after its visionary founder, William H. Kling. The MPR Board of Trustees made the decision but decided to wait until the occasion of the organization’s 50th anniversary to officially make the designation.

Rebecca Kaplan gets the newly created position of Marketing Director for Cumulus' seven station cluster in Dallas. She keeps her position as Promotions Director for New Country 96.3 (KSCS) and 99.5 The Wolf (KPLX). Prior to joining Cumulus, Kaplan was Promotions Director for iHeartMedia in Tampa.

105.9 The River Morning Man Joseph Aguiar is accused of assault at a gas station. According to The Hartford Courant, Aguiar, whose been with the station since 2005, was charged with third-degree assault, third-degree reckless endangerment, and second-degree breach of peace.
