iHeart Promotes Poleman

iHeartMedia has named Tom Poleman Chief Programming Officer. Under a new long-term agreement, Poleman will also remain President of iHeartMedia’s National Programming Group. He'll continue to report to CEO Bob Pittman. Poleman was named President of iHeartMedia’s National Programming Group in August 2011.

Noory Renews With Premiere

Back in 2003, while hosting The Nighthawk on KTRS in St. Louis, George Noory was recruited by Premiere Networks to guest host Coast to Coast AM. He became the permanent host of the over-night program, replacing Art Bell. On Monday, Noory signed a new long-term deal with Premiere to host the show, which is heard on 600 radio stations. Details about the new deal were not disclosed.

Former WLW Host Headed To Prison

Four years ago, Robert McManus plead guilty to two felonies: the sale of unregistered securities and the sale of securities without a license. McManus hosted a Sunday morning show on 700 WLW called Safe Money America. According to the Journal-News, 18 local residents lost $2 million because of McManus's fraud. The investments were for two oil wells with the promise of as much as 15 to 20 percent return. A judge sentenced McManus to five years. READ MORE HERE

Cumulus Snags Steele From iHeart

Jimmy Steele is the new Operations Manager for Cumulus’ five-station Mobile cluster. In the newly created position, Steele will oversee stations WABD-FM, WGOK-AM, WBLX-FM, WDLT-FM, and WXQW-AM. He will also serve WXQW-AM as Program Director.

Eboni Williams To Co-Host With Curtis Sliwa

Williams will co-host The Curtis and Eboni Show on WABC Radio in NYC, weekdays Noon-3:00 p.m. ET. In addition to her new co-hosting duties, Williams serves as co-host of FOX News Channel's The FOX News Specialists. She replaces Ron Kuby who was recently let go from the station.

Papa Gets Extension

The voice of the Oakland Raiders, Greg Papa, has agreed to a multi-year extension at 95.7 The GAME (KGMZ-FM). Papa has been with the station since 2014, and The Greg Papa Show will continue to air weekdays from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Papa is a three-time California Sportscaster of the Year Award winner.

Promotion Proves That Richards Is No Slacker

Ian “Slacker” Richards is feeling pretty good right now. The APD/MD/afternoon drive host for Detroit’s WDZH-FM/98.7 AMP Radio has just received his promotion to Program Director. Richards will continue to handle afternoon drive, 3-7 p.m.

Philadelphia stalwarts and WMMR-FM morning personalities Preston and Steve have signed a multi-year extension with the Beasley station. The duo joined WMMR in 2005 and have held the top-rated morning show position ever since.

Ward Gets Promotion Out West

Scott Ward has been promoted to PD for CBS Radio;s five radio stations in Riverside and palm Springs. He replaces Lee Douglas and will continue to co-host the K-FROG morning show, a position he first took in 1995.

Zach Going To WECK

John Zach will join WECK Radio (AM 1230 & FM 102.9) in Buffalo as News Director on July 10. Zach has been an announcer in the city for over two decades and was most recently heard as morning news anchor at WBEN, where he worked since 1998. He is also well known for his many years behind the radio microphone at WKBW and WGR.
