Westwood’s Kastenbaum Fills His Fists With Silver

News correspondent Steve Kastenbaum has won two silver awards from the New York Radio Festival international competition. One was for reports during the presidential campaign on how some votes of dead people were counted. The other for Westwood One News’ breaking coverage of the Pulse Nightclub shooting in Orlando.

Innes Moving To Mornings

iHeartMedia's SportsTalk 790 in Houston will shuffle its lineup next month. Josh Innes, who's been holding down afternoons since October 2016, will move to mornings as of July 17. From 2013 until he was fired last year, Innes hosted a very popular afternoon show on CBS Radio's WIP in Philadelphia.

Wendy Rice Retiring To Focus On Teaching

WXRT's Wendy Rice is retiring from the CBS Chicago station. Rice is the host of the popular Saturday Morning Flashback program. Her final show will be this Saturday. She's been at WXRT for 35 years. Rice began her career at XRT as an intern in 1978; she later made a stop in Peoria, at WWCT-FM before returning to Chicago and joining the WXRT air staff in 1982.

Cumulus Promotes, Moves McCade in Atlanta

Dallas McCade gets the Music Director nod at Country station Kicks 101.5 FM in Atlanta. McCade, who's currently co-host of the morning show with Cadillac Jack announced on the air Monday she's leaving the show to take the MD position. She'll also be on the air in a timeslot to be determined. Jack announced he'll be off the air until Thursday when the station reveals its new morning show.

Montgomery Will Be Taking It LITE

Beasley Media in Las Vegas is shifting Aimee Montgomery from Star 107.9 to Lite 101.5 FM where she will become the new midday host. Montgomery, who joined Star 107.9 in 2015, most recently served as a co-host of the morning show and worked as Brooke and Jubal’s local On-Air Liaison/Producer.

Reynolds Bringing Marketing Expertise To Portland
