The new 105.3 Free (Beaumont/Port Arthur, TX) has added 15-year radio veteran Jim King to its ranks as the 10 a.m.-2 p.m. midday show host. The vastly experienced King returns to the terrestrial airwaves on "Greatest Hits of All Time (Country edition)" after a 9-year absence.

The NABOB 41st Annual Fall Broadcast Conference and Power of Urban Radio Forum will be held October 11-12 in Washington DC. A highlight of the conference will be a discussion titled “Major Group Executives Discuss the Future of Broadcasting" on Thursday, October 12.

WBZ-FM 98.5 The Sports Hub is the flagship station of the Bruins and the Boston Bruins Radio Network. Sirott will join analyst Bob Beers in the booth to call the games. Since 2008, Sirott was host and fill-in play-by-play announcer for the Blackhawks on WGN AM in Chicago. Sirott takes over for Dave Goucher, who left to do TV play-by-play for the Vegas Golden Knights.

National radio host Larry Elder will be in Minneapolis on Tuesday, October 24, for a one-night-only event. AM 1280 The Patriot is bringing Mr. Elder to the Twin Cities for An Evening with Elder at the Marriott Southwest in Minnetonka.

Bill Herriott is the new D.O.S. and National Sales Manager for WTMJ Radio and 94.5 KTI Country in Milwaukee. In addition to leading that sales effort, Herriott will focus on selling ads for the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers networks. Most recently, Herriott was the GSM for WLS Radio in Chicago.

On Tuesday, iHeartMedia’s Bobby Bones featured a full-program dedicated to the victims of the Las Vegas shooting with live, in-studio performances from several Country music artists. The theme was “Love > Hate.” Bones announced that all #PimpinJoy and limited-edition “Love > Hate” apparel will benefit the Las Vegas Victims Fund. So far, $50,000 has been raised.

Kurt Luchs, GM for NRG Media LLC cluster in Wausau-Stevens Point, Wisconsin is releasing a humor book November 1. The book, titled It's Funny Until Someone Loses an Eye (Then It's Really Funny), from Sagging Meniscus Press, collects 50 previously publishedhumor pieces.

Tim Hill has been promoted to Program Director for sports radio station 107.5 The Game (WNKT-FM) in Columbia, SC. Hill joined WNKT last year and continues in his role as host of The Early Game morning show, which airs weekdays from 6-9 a.m. Hill’s career spans over 20 years in sports broadcasting

Neil Larrimore is the new Program Director for News/Talk station WPRO-AM in Providence, RI. Larrimore has programmed successful stations for more than 20 years and joins Cumulus from iHeartMedia, where he was formerly Program Director and Brand Manager for iHeartMedia’s Information brands in the Phoenix and Tucson markets.

Melany Myers has been named the new midday on-air personality for middays, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., at K 104.7 in Charlotte, North Carolina. She began her new position on September 18, 2017. Myers has over 17 years of on air experience in the radio industry, having co-hosted morning shows in the Charlotte and Columbia, South Carolina markets.
