Forsythe Calls It A Day After 50 Years

John Forsythe will retire from The John & Leslye Morning Show on March 30. The show airs weekday mornings on Magic 107.7, “More Variety from the 80s to Now.” Forsythe joined Leslye Gale on the show in 2010.

Former KYGO Denver morning man David Mueller, who a jury found groped Taylor Swift at a backstage meet-and-greet in 2013, will be back on the air today thanks to Delta Radio Network President/CEO Larry Fuss. And Mueller's on-air name will be Stonewall Jackson.

Richards will oversee programming duties for the cluster’s six stations: KRXQ-FM, KKDO-FM, KUDL-FM, KSEG-FM, KSFM-FM, and KIFM-AM. Richards takes over programming duties from Jim Fox, who was recently named Vice President of Music Programming at Entercom Dallas.

Carl DeMaio has extended his agreement to host The DeMaio Report for News Radio 600 KOGO, “San Diego’s News & Information Station.” DeMaio will continue to broadcast weekdays 3–6 p.m. The show features DeMaio candidly discussing the latest in local and national political headlines, policies, and reform.

Alpha Launches Markley & Van Camp Into Syndication

Compass Media Networks will team with Alpha Media to take the show national beginning April 2. The MVC Show is a 9–Noon PST show and is now heard on WMBD-AM in Peoria, WFTL-AM in West Palm Beach, KFOR-AM in Lincoln, KFQD-AM in Anchorage, KOKC-AM in Oklahoma City, WBRP-FM in Baton Rouge, and KXL-FM in Portland, OR.

Sarah Whitesell Lands Key Media Role At FCC

Whitesell has been appointed the Commission’s Deputy Chief of the Media Bureau. She returns to the Media Bureau from the non-profit sector where she headed the Legal Resource Center on Violence Against Women. She previously held several different roles at the FCC.

Beasley Media CEO Caroline Beasley will keynote the DiGamma Kappa scholarship banquet on Thursday. DiGamma Kappa is the official Broadcasting Society of the University of Georgia. Every year, the society presents the DiGamma Kappa Distinguished Achievement Award in Broadcasting and Cable “For Exceptional Service.”
