John Patrick has joined Steve Smith and Mary Liz Nolan as a co-anchor of the  morning show, 5:30 a.m. to 9 a.m., on WGAC (95.1FM/AM 580) in Augusta, GA. He began his new position on February 13. Patrick most recently served as the host of Buzz on Buzz at WRDW-AM in Augusta.

Valentine is the new Program Director for WBHT 97.1/95.7, Cumulus’ Top 40 station in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Valentine is a 22-year radio veteran who most recently spent five years as the on-air Assistant Program Director and Music Director at iHeartMedia’s Y100 in Miami. He will also be on-air host for middays on WBHT, weekdays, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Mid-West Family Broadcasting South Bend General Manager Jim Roberts has accepted the position of National Account Manager at Futuri Media. Jim has been with the South Bend stations, including WNSN-FM, WZOC-FM, WQLQ-FM, and WSBT-AM, and FM translator on 96.1, since 1996.

Maire Mason has been named VP/GM for SBS in New York where she'll manage WSKQ-FM Mega 97.9FM and WPAT-FM Amor 93.1FM. Mason replaces Eric Garcia who exited SBS last week to work for Univision. The 30-year radio management veteran most recently worked for Cumulus as ​VP/GM in New York. She's also worked for Merlin Media, Univision, and CBS Radio.

Eric Lauer has been named DOS for Entercom’s Milwaukee cluster, which includes KISS-FM (WXSS-FM), The Mix (WMYX-FM), and The Fan (WSSP). Prior to joining Entercom Milwaukee, Lauer held sales management roles with Cox in Florida and Georgia. Most recently, he was a GSM for Scripps Milwaukee.

New York Mets flagship station WOR-AM has named Ray Martel the new Executive Producer for Mets broadcasts. Martel has been with WOR for over two years as an Associate Producer of Len Berman in the Morning. Before joining WOR Martel was a producer at WFAN for 13 years, when they carried The Mets.

Media marketing veteran Gus Swanson has been appointed to the position of Marketing/Promotions Director for heritage Adult Contemporary WARM 106.9 (KRWM-FM) in Seattle.

The Nebraska Broadcasters Association will welcome Dave Otradovsky (Dent) into the NBA Hall of Fame, August 14 in Lincoln, during the 84th Annual NBA Convention. The Hall of Fame was established in 1972. Dent is the owner and General Manager of KVSH-AM in Valentine.

Carr, who was named Program Director in August of 2017, will also continue to serve in her role as the longtime midday on-air personality with the New Jersey station.

Congressman Gene Green (D-TX) will be the inaugural recipient of the NAB Broadcast Champion Award. The award recognizes a member of Congress who demonstrates exemplary leadership and commitment to strengthening the future of radio
