Cox Media Group Tampa has promoted Bryan Kelly to D.O.S. Bryan spent the past two years as GSM at CMG Tampa before being promoted. Kelly has also worked in sales management in Sarasota and West Palm. The D.O.S. vacancy was created when Jason Meder was promoted to GM in Orlando in December. CMG has six stations in the Tampa market.

Cox Media Group Tulsa Market Vice President Cathy Gunther announced on Thursday that Nate Reed has been named Operations Manager for that market. Reed moves into the job from his position as Director of Branding and Programming at CMG Tulsa’s Hot AC KRAV/Mix 96.5.

Ryan Maguire is the new PD for Bonneville's powerhouse News/Talker KIRO Radio in Seattle. Maguire has spent many years in the sports format and makes the move to Seattle from Entercom's WQAM in Miami where he's been PD since 2015. KIRO has been without a PD since Pete Gammell left the station in December.

Starting soon, Alisa Chang will host All Things Considered along with Audie Cornish, Mary Louise Kelly, and Ari Shapiro; and Noel King will join David Greene, Steve Inskeep, and Rachel Martin as the fourth host of Morning Edition and the Up First podcast. King and Chang will continue their enterprise reporting on Planet Money.

Country 98.9 (KNUC/Seattle) has a new morning show beginning soon. Award-winning morning team Tim Leary, Claire Beverly, and Karen (Red) Daiss, from Savannah, GA, are headed to the Pacific Northwest. The trio have been together for three years.

Chattanooga radio veteran Randy Smith, known as “Boner,” will be rejoining Entercom station Rock 105 (WRXR-FM) as afternoon show host. The new show Boner in the Afternoon will air weekdays from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m ET.

Former on-air personality and radio executive Johnny Andrews died Thursday after a difficult battle with cancer. Andrews had a very long and successful career on the air and as a programmer and manager of many successful stations.

The Kim Komando Show is back in Baltimore on Talk Radio 680 WCBM Sunday evenings starting March 4. Her "Consumer Tech Update" will be heard during morning drive at 7:10 a.m., keeping Baltimore up to date each day on all things tech.

The Inside Edition personality will host the Broadcasters Foundation of America’s 2018 Golden Mike Award. The black-tie fundraiser will honor Emily Barr, President and CEO of Graham Media, and will take place Monday, March 5, in New York City. Peggy Allen, Don Graham, and Hank Price will be presenters at the event.

Cumulus Media’s WIOV-FM/I-105 in Lancaster, PA, announced the passing of longtime morning show host Jerry Murphy, Wednesday, at age 61. Murphy was known as “Murph” of the Murph & Casey Morning Show on I-105. He hosted the show with Casey Allyn for 19 years.
