Conservative syndicated talker Michael Savage says he's contemplating a run for the United States Senate. On his radio show, Savage said “Some very important people have come to me and said ‘Savage, would you like to run as an independent for the U.S. Senate in the state of California against the esteemed Dianne Feinstein?’
Broadcasters Foundation Announces Award Recipients
The Broadcasters Foundation of America has announced the recipients of the 2018 Ward L. Quaal Leadership Awards, which will be presented at the Broadcasters Foundation annual breakfast at 7 a.m., Wednesday, April 11 in the Brahms Room of the Encore Hotel in Las Vegas, during the National Association of Broadcasters Show.
Pamal Gets A New Albany GM
Pamal Broadcasting has hired A.J. Bodden as Market Manager in Albany (New York) where the company has six stations. Bodden previously worked as a VP at Townsquare where he managed a division of the company’s corporate live events business. He replaces Bryan Hollenbaugh who purchased a station in Gaylord, Michigan.
Seton Hall’s WSOU Enters Hall Of Fame
WSOU 89.5 FM, Seton Hall University’s much-heralded, student-run radio station, received a surprise at the annual Kilpop Radio Convention and Rock Radio Awards in Las Vegas: The station was inducted into the Rock Radio Hall of Fame during the Rock Radio Awards Ceremony.
Niko Joins KMLE Mornings
Entercom has hired Nicholaus “Niko” Petrou as co-host on KMLE-FM (Country) in Phoenix. The station also renamed the show The Breakfast Buzz. Niko joins Nina D. Prior to KMLE, Niko held a number of roles at Entercom Phoenix sister station WBMP-FM, including APD, Music Director, and midday host. He also hosted nights on WHTZ-FM in New York.
Villaume Takes Morning Slot At The River
Albany’s 99.5 The River, “Today's Variety for Albany,” will see Tracy Villaume join Kevin Rush on its morning show, starting March 5. Kevin & Tracy in the Morning will broadcast weekdays 5:30–10 a.m. Villaume replaces Shanna, who moves to iHeartMedia Milwaukee’s FM106.1.

Tampa Bay station Q105’s Mason Dixon will kick off the celebration of his 40th anniversary on the radio airwaves on Tuesday, February 27 at 8:30 a.m. with Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn presenting him with an official proclamation declaring February 27 “Mason Dixon Day” in Tampa Bay.
