Bryce Segall has been named music director and evening talent for ALT 92.3 (WNYL-FM) in New York, effective July 2. In addition, Dan Stone will join ALT 92.3 as imaging director, effective June 25.

SportsTalk 790 in Houston is adding former NFL quarterback Sean Salisbury to its weekday lineup, 3-6 p.m., starting July 9. In addition to playing professional football for 10 years, Salisbury has worked as an NFL analyst on ESPN.

San Diego’s Z90 has promoted Kat San Andres to Assistant Program Director. San Andres, who has been with the station since 2004, adds the APD stripes to her current role as Music Director, and will take on added day-to-day and strategic duties, alongside R Dub!

Jenny Valliere has been appointed Assistant Program Director and Music Director for Z102.9 (KZIA/Cedar Rapids, Iowa City). The afternoon radio personality and current Miss Iowa USA titleholder has been named to the dual roles for the locally owned CHR station.

Executive Director of the Country Radio Broadcasters/CRS, Bill Mayne (pictured), announced that he would leave his position with the non-profit in May of 2019, following the organization’s 50th Anniversary Country Radio Seminar in February 2019. Applications are now open for the job.

Wendy McMahon, President of the ABC Owned Television Stations Group, and Charlie Weiss, Publisher of New Bay Media’s TV Sector Brands, are now members of the Broadcasters Foundation Board of Directors. Dennis Lyle, President and CEO of the Illinois Broadcasters Association was voted in as an officer and VP.

WMAL is reporting that Frank Harden, one-half of the radio team Harden and Weaver, died Friday at the age of 95. Together with, Jackson Weaver the duo was a ratings and revenue-generating juggernaut that drove WMAL to the top of Washington’s radio business for more than three decades.

Country station 99.1 The Ranch (KWSV-FM/Simi Valley, CA) has hired Diana DeVille as midday on-air personality. DeVille will take over the 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Monday through Friday slot, replacing Mese Smith.

Sun Broadcast Group announced Monday they have partnered with Alpha Media to bring their weekend countdown, The Hit List with Fitz, to more than 20 Alpha country stations. Alpha EVP of Content Scott Mahalick said, “We are fortunate to be able to expand our relationship with Fitz and tap the compelling content power of The Hit List with Fitz.”

WGOW-FM Morning Man Jeff Styles was shot in the arm after he approached a vehicle with a tomahawk style weapon in a road rage incident. According to local reports, Styles then struck the windshield with that weapon and was then shot by the driver of the vehicle.
