The seven-year NFL veteran has signed on with Sports Radio 104.3 The Fan (KKFN-FM) and will be offering insight and perspective every Sunday morning at 8 a.m. Franklin, who retired from football in May, was originally drafted in the second round by the Denver Broncos in 2011.

Smith Named VP Of Engineering At Beasley
Beasley Media Group has promoted Lamar Smith to VP of Engineering. Smith has been with the company for the past seven years, most recently as Regional Engineering Director & Corporate Project Manager. He'll be based in Charlotte and manage large corporate projects throughout the country, as well as assist in overseeing the company’s engineering staff.

Tennessee Hall of Famer Dies
David Milstead, better known to radio listeners throughout Middle Tennessee as David Tower, died overnight Friday, July 28, 2018 at his home. Milstead was a recent inductee into the Tennessee Radio Hall of Fame. Milstead was hired by WMAK-AM back in 1970 as a “news reader.” Within a year, he was news director. Other Nashville stops included WYHY-FM (Y-107) and WLAC.
Kim Promoted At Westwood One
On Wednesday, Westwood One announced the promotion of Julie Kim from Senior Traffic Director to Vice President, Traffic. Kim began her career in 2003 as a Traffic Coordinator with Premiere Networks.
