Salem Radio Network Launching Joe Walsh

The Chicago-based talker will be joining the network lineup in the 9 p.m. to midnight ET timeslot. He'll replace Steve Deace, February 20. The former Congressman also hosts the 5-7 p.m. slot on Salem-owned WIND-AM 560 The Answer. Walsh will continue to host the local show, which he's been doing since 2013.

After being fired back in May by Hubbard as the Senior VP of Programming and Operations overseeing seven markets, CBS Radio has hired Greg Solk to program rocker 93XRT (WXRT-FM) and Classic Hits station KHits (WJMK-FM). He'll also be Operations Manager.

Katie Neal joined Cumulus in 2011 as evening host for WBNQ-FM in Bloomington. She moved to NASH-FM in New York City in 2013 as a weekend fill-in and has also worked as an AE at WPLJ-FM. She gets her big shot in New York City hosting middays on the Cumulus Country station in New York City and says she's over the moon.

Nashville’s 92Q – WQQK calls her their Gospel Diva, and after more than 30 years with the station Connie Denell has decided to retire at the end of 2017. Denell has been with the station since 1983 and hosting her Gospel Diva program since 1987.

Jim Rome has signed a new multi-year deal with CBS Sports Radio. Rome's show is heard from 12:00 - 3:00 p.m. on the CBS Sports Network. Rome also anchors three editions of the syndicated CBS Sports Minute. Details and length of the deal were not revealed.
