Forty-one years in media is a long time, and Ben Reed, Cox Media Group’s VP/Market Manager for the San Antonio market, is calling it a day on December 31.

Diane Kniowski has been hired as president and regional general manager of local media. She reports directly to Univision CEO Vincent Sadusky and President of Univision Radio, Jesus Lara, will now report directly to Kniowski.
Brand Returns To Westwood In Managerial Role
Westwood One has hired affiliate sales veteran Debbie Brand as Manager of Affiliate Sales, Country. Brand worked at Westwood One as an Affiliate Relations Manager in the mid-1990s. She replaces Tim Closson and reports to Bryan Switzer.

Salem Radio Network is launching a new talk show hosted by Sebastian Gorka. America First with Sebastian Gorka will debut January 1, 2019 and air daily 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. ET on the SRN platform, replacing the Michael Medved Show.

Don Ricker is the new Market Manager for Iliad Media in Twin Falls, Idaho. Iliad operates KIKX-FM, KIRQ-FM, KTPZ-FM, KYUN-FM, KYUN-HD2 and KYUN-HD3. Ricker also owns his own advertising agency.
Haber New PD 102.5 WFMF/104.1 The Spot
Jeff Haber has been named Program Director for iHeart Media Baton Rouge and New Orleans, 102.5 WFMF and 104.1 The Spot. He will work with on-air personalities and sales to oversee music programming as well as broadcast and digital operations for both stations.
Ron “Charles” Gitschier Passes Away
Gitschier was 56. He was the first person hired by Flagler Broadcasting, as Chief Engineer 10 years ago, to build Flagler County Florida's first radio station, WNZF. Ron was a proud retired Navy veteran of 23 years who moved to Flagler County in 2003.

What Happened To Chris Wegmann?
Entercom announced on Wednesday that Kevin Cassidy (pictured) is the new Market Manager for Entercom New Orleans, replacing Chris Wegmann. Wegmann, a New Orleans Native, came over to Entercom in August of 2017 to replace Chris Claus who retired.
Swanson Out Already. Hammer Takes Over.
That was quick, Jack. Cumulus announced that the recently hired Jack Swanson would rather be on the beach than programming KGO and KSFO in San Francisco. Swanson was back for a month before leaving again. He programmed KGO and KSFO from 1994 to 2011.
