The 46-year radio voice of the Cincinnati Reds, Marty Brennaman, is gearing up to broadcast his last season. The 76-year old started with the team in 1974 covering World Series Championships in 1975, 1976 and 1990.

Hughes, the founder and Chairperson of Urban One, will be inducted into the National Association of Broadcasters Broadcasting Hall of Fame at the 2019 NAB Show. The induction will be held April 8 at the Encore in Las Vegas. In 2016 Radio Ink honored Hughes with its Lifetime Leadership award.

ASCAP has appointed Nicole Carbone-Rogers as Senior Vice President and Head of Events. Carbone-Rogers will be responsible for the successful execution of major awards shows and other key ASCAP events

WDFN morning show host Matt Shepard is the new voice of the Detroit Tigers. Shepard filled in for Mario Impemba last season after Impemba was suspended for an altercation with then broadcast partner Rod Allen.

He's hosted mornings for nearly 40 years in Hartford. WTIC-FM's Gary Craig announced on the air this week he'll be retiring from radio.

Paula Divello is now running Cumulus' four-station cluster in Abilene after her promotion to Market Manager. Divello will make the move to Abilene from Shreveport where she was D.O.S. She replaces Jeff Lyon who left Cumulus late last year.

Award-winning CMT host and radio personality Cody Alan celebrated his five-year anniversary as host of CMT After MidNite. Alan took over the program in January 2014.

Louisville Public Media has hired Liz Schlemmer as 89.3 WFPL News Louisville’s education reporter. Schlemmer heads to Louisville from North Carolina Public Radio, where she reported on statewide education policy.
