Cumulus' KABC-AM in Los Angeles has added two new shows to kick off 2020. Former Secret Service Agent, NYPD officer and New York Times best-selling author, Dan Bongino (6pm-7pm) and political talker Andrew Klavan (9pm-10pm).
Voice Of NPR Dies
Called the most heard voice on National Public Radio, Frank Tavares, has died. Recently diagnosed with ALS, Tavares died December 30 at his home in Florida.
Dixon Joins WBEZ Chicago
Chicago’s NPR news station, WBEZ 91.5 FM, will soon have a new voice to wake up to each weekday morning. Longtime Chicago radio broadcaster Mary Dixon has been named the new morning anchor and local host of NPR’s Morning Edition.

Isaac “Brooks” Wenzel is the new Music Director and afternoon drive host for Cumulus’ Country station WFMS 95.5 in Indianapolis. Wenzel joins Cumulus Indianapolis from iHeartMedia in Madison.

Ronnie Ramone has been promoted to PD of AC station WROZ-FM (Fun 101.3) in Lancaster/York/Harrisburg, PA. Ramone has been with WROZ for 14 years as an air personality and brand manager. He will continue to host Fun 101.3 nights.

The syndicated morning show has picked up Evansville, IN, Classic Hits station WJPS-FM, moving over from WGBF-FM in Evansville after a 24-year run there.
Pennington Out at WRIF
Mark Pennington has been programming Detroit rock powerhouse WRIF for a decade. Beasley Media has confirmed it is going through a "restructure in workforce" and Pennington was dismissed as part of that plan along with several other on-air hosts.
